Snow World, Genting Highlangs

I know that snow is ordinary to some... but for us living in tropical country, snow is special. We paid 17RM each just to experience snow at Genting Highlands. It was fun!

Raw Oysters

My first ever raw oysters. It is best with tabasco sauce and lemon juice. Got it from the resto in Tropicana Golf and Country Club.

Harrier

What can I say? I just love nice cars. This one was parked in front of our car. Toyota Harrier. Can you see my name is all over it? ;) One day, I'm going to have this one. My son promised to buy me one. LOL!!!

Kimchi

I love Kimchi. Kimchi is a Korean food. I had this when I took my parents for lunch at Ichi-ban, Sunway Pyramid.

According to wikipedia, Kimchi (pronounced /ˈkɪmtʃɪ/, Korean pronunciation: [kimtɕʰi]), also spelled gimchi, kimchee, or kim chee, is any one of numerous traditional Korean pickled dishes made of vegetables with varied seasonings. Its most common manifestation is the spicy baechu (cabbage) variety. Kimchi is the most common banchan, or side dish. Kimchi is also a common ingredient and combined with other ingredients to make dishes such as kimchi stew (kimchi jjigae) and kimchi fried rice (kimchi bokkeumbap).

Early kimchi was made of cabbage and beef stock only, and in the twelfth century people began to include other spices to create different flavors, such as sweet and sour flavors, and colors such as white and orange.[4] In modern times however, the main spice and source of 'heat' for most Kimchis is a paste made from red chile peppers, a New World vegetable that would not have been found in Korea before European contact with the Americas. Consequently, red chile peppers was not added to Kimchi recipes until sometimes after 1500.

Lolli Pop

He's not a lollipop eater. But since his sister loves sweets so much... and we bought this lollipop because of her, he got a chance to lay his tongue on it. Apparently, he didn't finish. Like I said, he's not a big fan of sweets. Just took photo of him to remind him one day that once, he tried lolli pop but didn't take to liking it.

No, this is not Malaysian food. Rather, escabeche, otherwise known as sweet and sour dish, is a Filipino dish. My parents are around so I have been eating a lot of Filipino food here.

There are 3 major races in Malaysia: Malay, Chinese and Indian. And there are in between. Mixed beauties I call them. There are a lot of inter-cultural marriages in Malaysia, resulting to mixed race. Hub's cousin is a mixture of Indian and Chinese being that her father is Indian and her mother is Chinese. Chindians. We call them.

Q-Dees Sports Day 2009

Q-dees USJ 18 had it's Annual Sports Day on Saturday. My son got his 2nd trophy while my daughter got her first.

I baked this cupcakes for my friend's 3rd birthday party. I used butter icing for my icing. Everybody loved it, I think.

I take this road everyday to send and pick my kids up from school. Q-dees USJ 18 is just 4 blocks away from our house which makes a happy me coz I don't drive, yet.

Petrosains - at Petronas Science Center. We celebrated our daughter's 2nd birthday here last year. Both my kids had a blast!

Oven - Indian style. This is where they bake Indian bread called Naan. 10% of the population in Malaysia is Indian. So you can see a lot of Indian stuff around.

Butterfly

Kids had fun chasing after this butterfly. It's so funny because once the butterfly goes their way, they would run away from it, scared. Took this shot on the side street after picking the kids up from their school at Q-Dees.

Love TGI Fridays. We usually go to Subang Parade. Hubby loves the steak - medium rare.

Thosai

Thosai - one of the Indian dishes that I really really like. It's usually dipped in different kinds of curry dishes. Sri Melur at USJ 18 has the best thosai.

Nando's Espetada

We love going to Nando's Restaurant at Subang Parade. I'd usually order quarter chicken with side dishes of rice and fresco salad. But this time, I ordered something different, for a change. Nando's Espitada.

Corner House

Our houseowners are coming back. They want their house back. Either that or they will buy another house. They prefer corner lot. Since we love their house so much, we want them to buy a corner house fast. LOL. This corner house is for sale. Hopefully they will consider buying.
